Dead Second

Quite simple but nice arcade cover shooter game with advanced time mechanics and scripted movement system, featuring 8 different levels

Strong sides:

  • Controls and shooting mechanics
  • Movement mechanics
  • Number of levels and their design
  • Nice, guided tutorial
  • Gameplay in general
  • Low price

Weak sides:

  • A bit simplified and very basic
  • Lack of VFX
  • You can find better similar game for the same price

Summary and conclusion:

While this is a solid game, especially for fans of Time Crisis and cover shooter genre in general, as a VR interpretation it doesn't quite reach the heights of other similar games. We've experienced games with more intricate physics and interactions, and finely-tuned gameplay. It's enjoyable, but we think that for the same price, you can find better offerings in the genre. Anyway, we recommend it in case you collect games of this genre and would be happy to have another one.
