Downtown Club Racing

Very nice-looking racing game positioning somewhere in between of arcade racing games and simplified racing simulator.

Strong sides:

  • Attractive visuals, especially copkit view
  • Nice vehicle control feeling
  • optimal difficulty
  • Wide range of game modes
  • Quite good racing venues
  • Full motion controller support
  • Flexible wheel control options (sticks/hand)

Weak sides:

  • Vehicle weight doesn't feel
  • Lack of more precise arcade/simulator balance tweaking
  • Background music could be more energetic

Summary and conclusion:

Awesome arcade racing game from a small team of indie developers and a publisher, who brought us another racing arcade Neodori Infinity an year before. We'd recommend to try it if you seek for a good looking racing experience, as it's a bit better, than most Quest AAA racing titles. Current game's state is very nice for an early access AppLab game and the interaction/controls are worked out really good.
